An extraordinary range of experiences in aviation!
This is a visit from Sun ‘n Fun 2018 with Retired United States Air Force Colonels Blake and Sandy Thomas. This husband and wife team have built not one, but two replica WWI aircraft together…along with a 200 MPH RV-7.
Amazing, right?
Well, there’s even more.
You’ll also hear how the WWI replica aircraft they’ve built have given them a great appreciation for the sacrifices that have been made for our freedoms, how far we’ve come in aviation, and how they provide a great educational service allowing people to see these unique aircraft as living history.
You’ll also hear about Colonel Blake Thomas’ aviation experiences that have allowed him to fly aircraft from WWI, WWII, Korean, Vietnam, and Gulf War eras. He is one of a handful of people who has flown both the F-86 and the MiG-15.
Interview recorded April 2018
